Today you will read about how children in other countries celebrate their birthdays while working on a Scavenger Web hunt!
Make sure and read all of the following instructions before you leave this page!
After you finish reading the page, minimize and go to the Start tab at the bottom of your computer, then click on My Computer. In the dialog box that opens, double-click on the Student Share (T:) Drive. On the next page, double click on the MES_Student file folder, then double-click on the 3rd Grade file folder and open the document labeled, "Birthday Traditions Around the World".
Make sure and save this document to your H:Drive before going any further. Your file name for this document is- Your name and the word birthday.
Once you have saved your document in your H:Drive, reopen this webpage. Click on the "Birthday Traditions Around the World" link at the top of this page. This page will help you with your Web Hunt. Click on the links matching the names of the countries listed in your document and find the picture that best represents how you think children around the world celebrate their birthdays in the countries listed on your Word document. You will find the pictures on the second page of your Word document. Just copy and paste your choice of picture in the text box by each country. You may only use a picture once. There are 9 different countries!
